Overcoming Obstacles Through Discipline and Determination

Life throws up obstacles in our path. Obstacles are the tests that challenge the resolve, shape the character, and refine the vision. There is a lesson, a new perspective, or maybe a greater opportunity hidden within every setback. However, it is not the size of the obstacle that determines whether we come out successful or fall but our strength of discipline and ability to persevere.

Discipline is the anchor set against chaos which can keep one steady. One can drive such minimal short-term motivation into action and, even when things seem too steep, sometimes we can push it forward. Then there is an inclination to creep or doubt whether we really can do it when facing obstacles-think of challenges. But discipline reminds us of our goals and keeps us focused on the steps we must take. It enables us to behave based on a long-term commitment rather than fleeting emotions. Discipline does not keep us from doubting or fearing; rather, it enables us to act in spite of those. It’s about rising before the day ever begins when we have a sleepless night wringing our hands over things. It’s about choosing the hard road of perseverance over the tempting shortcuts to mediocrity. The little difficulties add up toward some success.

Other initiation of scaffolding equally must change the view of these hurdles. Do not see them as hindrances. Rather, see them in a way that they help you to cross the line. The little difficulties add up toward some success. There is definitely going to be a lesson in the failure you encounter and redirection in every rejection experience. It essentially strengthens recovery after every hurdle is encountered which we face.
